Live demos at the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase draw strong interest from global mining delegates
TORONTO — PDAC Mining News — Thunder Bay-based Teleco drew significant attention at the 2026 Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention, showcasing intelligent camera solutions built for demanding mining environments.
Teleco was one of seven Activation Zone exhibits inside the FedNor-funded Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS) pavilion, where the company delivered hands-on demonstrations of AI-powered PPE detection, thermal imaging, and portable camera systems designed to support safer, smarter mine operations.

The focus, Teleco says, is practical: modern camera tools that help mines improve hazard awareness, strengthen compliance, and support operational decision-making in challenging conditions.
Northern Ontario’s largest pavilion at PDAC
Teleco is one of 112 businesses and organizations representing Northern Ontario in the NOMS pavilion at PDAC 2026. The PDAC convention runs March 1–4 in Toronto and is projected to attract more than 27,000 attendees from 125 countries.
As the convention’s largest pavilion, NOMS highlights the region’s mining supply chain, services, and investment opportunities—positioning Northern Ontario as a recognized centre of mining expertise and innovation.
NOMS track record: jobs, sales, and exports
Since launching in 2015, the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase pavilion has nearly tripled in size and has helped participants collectively create more than 900 jobs and generate over $100 million in increased sales and exports, according to organizers.
