Truck stopped on Highway patrol; licence suspension and vehicle impoundment issued
NIPIGON, ON — A driver from Armstrong is facing multiple charges, including stunt driving, after Ontario Provincial Police in Nipigon stopped a pickup truck for allegedly travelling 168 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone.
OPP say the incident happened Feb. 28, 2026, at about 1:40 p.m., when an officer with the Nipigon Detachment using a radar speed-measuring device observed a 2020 Dodge Ram at the reported speed. Police conducted a traffic stop.

Police say the driver was issued a 30-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
