Focus on compliance and safer roads
While OPP did not provide a breakdown of charges, CMV enforcement initiatives typically focus on issues such as:
-
speeding and aggressive driving behaviours
-
unsafe loads or equipment concerns
-
driver documentation and hours-of-service compliance
-
mechanical fitness and roadside safety checks
OPP are again reminding motorists that road safety is a shared responsibility year-round: slow down, buckle up, stay alert, and never drive impaired.
Reporting dangerous drivers
If you suspect an impaired or dangerous driver, contact the OPP Provincial Communications Centre at 1-888-310-1122 when it is safe to do so. In an emergency, call 9-1-1.
