Crimebeat – Incident on Young Street Ends without Injuries

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Thunder Bay Police received a call just after 3:00PM today about a thirty-seven year old male who may be in distress. The individual is reported to have been at home alone at a Young Street residence. Police were told that the individual may have had a weapon in the house with him.

The area was contained by uniformed officers, until the Emergency Task Unit arrived.

Communication was made with the individual, and he then surrendered to police without further incident.

The man was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center for an assessment. There were no injuries.

Firearms were located in the residence by officers. The investigation is continuing.
