Thunder Bay District Health Unit Reports Nine New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – On December 16, 2020 the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 9 (nine) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.

The total number of active cases in the region is 103. This is a positive drop in active cases from Tuesday when there were 115 active cases.

Southbridge Roseview remains in a confirmed COVID-19 outbreak with 14 active resident cases, and 13 active staff cases

All nine of the newly reported cases are in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities. All nine are self-isolating and contracted the virus from close contact.

Across Ontario today, 2,139 cases of the COVID-19 Virus were reported today along with 43 persons who have died from the virus.
