RockHawks: Thunder Gold Reports 411-Metre Gold Interval at Tower Mountain, Orders Airborne Survey

Latest drilling tests the Bench Target as the company prepares a geophysical survey to guide deeper exploration west of Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Gold Corp. has reported a 411-metre drill interval averaging approximately 0.51 grams of gold per tonne at its Tower Mountain property, 40 kilometres west of Thunder Bay.

The company also announced a contract for a 285 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey designed to help identify deeper drill targets.

The October 13, 2026 results come from an extension of drill hole TM25-186, originally drilled in 2025. The extension, TM25-186X, added 252 metres and brought the hole’s total depth to 501 metres.

The reported intervals are lengths measured along the drill hole. Their true widths have not been determined.

Extended Hole Ends in Gold Mineralization

Thunder Gold said the combined hole tested the Bench-3738-Ellen trend, referred to as the B-E Target, and remained in mineralization at its endpoint.

The release’s highlights report the 411-metre interval at 0.514 g/t gold, while its significant-results table lists 0.513 g/t for the same interval, from 90 to 501 metres. Both figures round to approximately 0.51 g/t.

Selected results from the company’s table are:

Interval From–to depth Drilled length Average gold grade
Combined original hole and extension 3–501 metres 498 metres 0.440 g/t
Main interval within the combined hole 90–501 metres 411 metres 0.513 g/t*
New extension, TM25-186X 249–501 metres 252 metres 0.443 g/t
Final interval in the extension 481.5–501 metres 19.5 metres 0.523 g/t

The release’s headline and highlights give 0.514 g/t for the 411-metre interval. Intervals overlap and must not be added together. True widths are unknown.

The company said the hole continued approximately 75 metres horizontally beyond the previously interpreted mineralized contact. Because it ran roughly parallel to that contact and did not exit the mineralized zone, the result cannot establish the zone’s true thickness.

Infill Drilling Returns Grades Above Model Predictions

President and chief executive officer Wes Hanson, P.Geo., said 86 per cent of the extension’s assay results exceeded 0.10 g/t gold. The extension’s grade was 18 per cent higher than the resource model predicted, according to the company.

“The results to date continue to suggest strong, sub-vertical continuity which remains open at depth,” Hanson said.

Thunder Gold compared eight completed infill holes with its 2026 mineral resource model. Individual results ranged from 38 per cent below predicted grade to 100 per cent above it. Weighted by interval length, the drilled grades were approximately 10 per cent higher than model predictions, the company reported.

That comparison checks drilling against the existing model. It does not establish a 10 per cent increase in the project’s total gold resource.

Hanson also reported visible chalcopyrite at depth. The release provides no copper assay results for this hole.

Airborne Survey Aims to Improve Deeper Drill Targeting

Thunder Gold has contracted Expert Geophysics Surveys Inc., based in Newmarket, Ontario, to conduct a Mobile Magnetotellurics, or MobileMT, survey.

The survey will measure variations in electrical resistivity — how strongly rocks resist electrical current. Thunder Gold believes those variations could help map alteration associated with gold mineralization and guide drilling deeper into the system.

The planned survey will cover the Tower Mountain Intrusive Complex and its surrounding prospective halo, with east-west flight lines spaced 100 metres apart.

Thunder Gold is targeting:

  • October 31, 2026: completion of the airborne survey; and
  • November 15, 2026: initial results, ahead of the final drill holes planned for the 2026 field season.

The company said the method can investigate depths exceeding one kilometre, with some case studies showing useful results to approximately two kilometres. Survey findings and follow-up drilling will be needed to test its geological interpretation.

Existing Resource Provides the Baseline

Tower Mountain’s mineral resource estimate has an effective date of January 19, 2026, as confirmed in the technical report’s summary and the company’s March 10 filing announcement.

The estimate prepared by Micon International Limited reports:

Resource category Estimated tonnes Average gold grade Contained gold
Indicated 34.5 million 0.46 g/t 514,000 ounces
Inferred 211.1 million 0.45 g/t 3,053,000 ounces

The estimate uses a 0.19 g/t gold cut-off within a resource shell based on open-pit assumptions. Those assumptions include a US$3,000-per-ounce gold price and 80 per cent recovery.

Mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not demonstrate economic viability. Inferred resources carry greater uncertainty, and their upgrade through further drilling is not guaranteed.

The October 13 announcement reports exploration results and a survey contract; it does not announce a revised resource estimate or a mine construction decision.

Thunder Bay Connection Includes Local Laboratories

According to Thunder Gold, the 100 per cent-owned Tower Mountain property covers 7,625 hectares beside the Trans-Canada Highway.

The company identifies Activation Laboratories in Thunder Bay as its primary analytical provider and AGAT Laboratories in Thunder Bay as its secondary independent laboratory.

Thunder Gold said its quality-control program includes certified standards and blanks making up approximately 10 per cent of the sample stream. Duplicate pulps are prepared at a rate of one in 20 samples and sent to a second laboratory.

Hanson reviewed and approved the announcement’s technical information as a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.

Thunder Gold trades under TSXV: TGOL, FRA: Z25 and OTCQB: TGOLF. Its survey schedule, geological interpretations and expectations for resource growth remain subject to exploration results, financing and other project risks.
