THUNDER BAY – LIVING – The West Thunder Community Centre invites the public to its 9th Annual Corn Roast and Vendors Market on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The outdoor event will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is a perfect way to celebrate the end of summer with the whole family.
This year’s event will offer a wide array of free entertainment and activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy live performances by musician Jack Nelson, the LJCA’s Odori Dancers, and the MacGillivray Pipe Band. New to the lineup is the enchanting Martin Wonderland’s Magic show. Kids will be thrilled with free activities like a bouncy castle, petting zoo, face painting, and an obstacle course from TBMFA. They can also take part in West Thunder Games, Karate activities, and special events from Prokids. For a small fee, children can enjoy pony rides and get custom-made balloon animals.
In addition to the entertainment, the market will feature over 20 local vendors showcasing a diverse selection of handcrafted goods, including art, woodworking, knitting, and more. For a minimal fee, attendees of all ages can get creative at a new makers’ craft area, featuring a slime lab and a station for painting rocks and stones.

The West Thunder Cafe will be on-site, serving hamburgers and, of course, freshly roasted corn on the cob, generously donated by the Thunder Bay Metro Lions Club.
Please note that the library will be open during the event. The front parking lot will be reserved for library patrons only, who must show their library card for access. In the event of rain, all entertainment and activities will be moved indoors, while vendors will remain outdoors.
