The Thunder Bay Border Cats are set for a great Friday night home opener.

THUNDER BAY – Folks, dust off your ball caps and grab your peanuts and Cracker Jack—because Border Cats baseball is BACK!

The Thunder Bay Border Cats are geared up and ready to launch their 2025 Northwoods League campaign, starting things off on the road this week before bringing the action home to Port Arthur Stadium for their long-awaited home opener on Wednesday, May 28th.

You can feel it in the air across Thunder Bay—that buzz of summer baseball, the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and yes, the smell of fresh-cut grass at Port Arthur.

“We’ve got a good group of young talent, and we’re looking to make some noise early.”

The Cats are looking to build on last year’s strong finish, and with a full schedule, hungry roster, and the best fans in the league, this season promises plenty of fireworks—and we’re not just talking about Canada Day!
