THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – There are contrasts today. The cold spot in Ontario is Upsala at +0.30 degrees, yet it is +10 in Thunder Bay.

There are no weather alerts or warnings in effect across the region.

Thunder Bay

Skies are clearing out today, as Thunder Bay heads to a daytime high of +20. There are, at least this morning, calm winds.

Weather will be almost perfect for those who want to view the Viking Octanis as it docks in Thunder Bay at 6:00 PM tonight.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low of +6.

Fort Frances

It is +8 this morning in Fort Frances headed to a high of 24. Clearing skies are in store for the city, however the weather service says there will be showers over the next five days.

Tonight skies will start clear and there will be increased clouds after midnight. The overnight low will be 11.

Dryden and Vermilion Bay

Skies are cloudy in Dryden this morning with a temperature of +9. The high will be 21 for Friday. Skies will become a mix of sun and clouds this morning.

Tonight will see a few clouds, and a low of +9.

Sioux Lookout

It is +6 in Sioux Lookout this morning. The high today will be 20. Skies will be mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of rain. Winds will be from the south at 20 km/h late this morning.

Tonight will see a few clouds and an overnight low of +8.

Sachigo Lake

It is currently 9 in Sachigo, which will be as warm as it gets for Friday. Skies will be cloudy with a 60 percent chance of showers. Winds will be from the northwest at 20 km/h before becoming light near noon.

Tonight will see cloudy skies with a low of -1.
