DRYDEN – WEATHER – A low pressure system from the Dakotas will bring locally heavy rain and a risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. The main threats are strong winds up to 90 km/h and large hail up to 3 cm.
Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:
- Dryden – Vermilion Bay
- Ignace – English River
Environment Canada says that the conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.
Hazards:
Strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h.
Hail size 1 to 3 cm.
Locally heavy downpours.
