COVID-19 Update

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 12 (twelve) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region. The total current active cases are now at 146.

Three of the new cases are part of the outbreak at Thunder Bay Area correctional venues. Two at the Thunder Bay District Jail, and one at the Correctional Centre.

Seven cases are from close contact and two are from no known exposure.

Sixteen cases have been resolved.

Ontario Case Numbers

Ontario is reporting 1,670 cases of COVID-19 in the past twenty-four hours.

In the provincial hotspots:

  • 450 new cases in Toronto,
  • 342 in Peel,
  • 171 in York Region and,
  • 128 in Niagara.
