Thunder Bay – Nine New Cases of COVID-19: Four in Hospital, One in ICU

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports nine new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.

The current number of active cases is 60.

Of the new cases, four are from close contact, two are from no known exposure, one is from travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.

There are two additional persons in hospital. This brings the total patients in hospital to four with one patient in the ICU.

Southbridge Roseview Long-Term Care facility reports 8 active resident cases and 5 active staff cases.

There have been twelve cases resolved according to the TBDHU.

Provincially, Ontario has reported 3,128 new cases of COVID-19. There have in the past 24 hours been almost 35,200 tests  for the virus completed.

778 of the new cases are in Toronto, 614 in Peel Region, 213 in York Region and 172 in Durham.
