We are in a country having a variety of people, culture, traditions and festivals. Every festival brings us an opportunity to enliven our spirit with a fresh zeal and enthusiasm. For most of us, celebration is all about get togethers, delicacies, fun and frolic, but seldom do we see the opportunity to extend the festivities beyond our family and friends.

Jitendra Khimlani, very fondly known as Jitubhaiya, shares a very unique and thoughtful meaning of real celebration. Jitendra says, festivals are not just about revelling amongst ourselves, but more about sharing that joy with those in need. He brings in this beautiful aspect of “Service” that makes a celebration complete. He believes that when we focus on bringing happiness and comfort to others’ life, our happiness increases manifold and that brings contentment to us.

Jitendra, who is a life transformation coach, an international faculty with the Art of Living foundation, a certified Bach Flower therapist and a NLP practitioner, has not only been working tirelessly to uplift lives, but also has added this element of Service in the lives of hundreds of youngsters in Gujarat through his own example.

This Diwali, Jitendra has taken up the responsibility to contribute towards the local artisans and street vendors who struggle to sell off their items till the very last moment to barely make ends meet. Jitu along with his team of volunteers has started an activity of selling handmade Diyas and inspire people to go local and support our hardworking artisans and vendors.

When asked about how he comes up with such amazing ideas everytime, his simple answer is his biggest inspiration, his Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji. For him, the vision and mission of his master to bring smile and comfort to every individual is his purpose of life.
