Minister of Health Patty Hajdu COVID-19 Update: July 16 2020

THUNDER BAY – Minister of Health and federal MP for Thunder Bay-Superior North Patty Hajdu shared an update on the latest information on COVID-19, moving to Stage-3, and what is going on with the international border.

The Minister gives an update on the extension of the federal wage subsidy until December.

Minister Hajdu shares that the goal is assisting businesses, especially small businesses to stabilize.

The Minister says that the International Border with the United States “It is really important that we get and keep our situation in Canada under control. We have strengthened our controls at the border.”

“We need to be able to manage quickly,” stated the Minister.

Minister Hajdu has been doing Zoom meetings and other online approaches as opposed to her political work.

The Minister will be returning to Ottawa next week for Parliament.
