Nisha Shetty entertains the audience amidst the COVID-19 crisis, shares her experience of hosting virtual shows


No matter what the situation is, the show must always go on. These priceless words are something that emcee Nisha Shetty truly lives by. In the dire times of coronavirus pandemic, people are forced to maintain social distancing and stay indoors. With social media going at the same pace, artists and bloggers have found novel ideas to stay engaged with their audiences. Live interactions on Instagram is by far the most engaging way to interact with the audience. Besides interacting with her followers, Nisha even interacted with several celebrities through Instagram live sessions.

The celebrated emcee recently hosted more than 15 live sessions for Gujarat’s leading entertainment portal, Dhollywood Life. The portal is the one-stop destination for Gujarati film fraternity, Gujarati influencers and other influential people. To name a few, the anchor has hosted Instagram live sessions for Bhoomi Trivedi, Khushi Shah, Vishal Parekh, Ishani Dave, Keerthi Sagathia, Mitra Gadhvi, Aishwarya Majmudar, Netri Trivedi, Hemang Dave among others. While speaking about her experience, Nisha said, “It was really an overwhelming experience to interact with the celebrities. Besides their story of struggle, they even entertained and interacted with their fans which helped us to give a daily dose of happiness to our viewers.”

She further added, “I also took a lot of takeaways from these celebrities. As an artist, I get motivated by every creative person as each one has his/her own inspiring tale to share.”

Moreover, she recently collaborated with Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. The emcee gave a masterclass on anchoring in the Mumbai Toastmasters Club. “It was my honour to be invited to conduct a live session for Mumbai Toastmasters Club. I believe the more you share knowledge, the more knowledge you gain in return. It was an entertaining interaction where I gave some useful tips to all the aspiring anchors.”

The anchor in the period of lockdown has even conducted Instagram live sessions for the event fraternity. To keep the audiences entertained, Nisha with her enthusiasm and positive aura enthralled everyone virtually. “As long as you are connected to the internet, everything is possible and it has been an amazing time hosting virtual events for brands and companies”, she said.

Nisha, who is also an aspiring actress, has hosted many award shows, corporate conferences, press conferences, sports events, product launches and social events. Her clientele includes many prestigious brands like Samsung, Audi, Aditya Birla Group. HDFC Bank, Lodha Group, ICICI, Tag Heuer and the list goes on. Amidst the lockdown, the entertaining emcee says that she misses being on the stage and travelling as well. For her work, Nisha has travelled to many countries like Greece, Japan, South Africa, Thailand and Singapore. When asked about what’s next she has to offer, the emcee said she will make an announcement soon.
