Police Nab Five in Drug Trafficking Investigation

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police have arrested and charged five individuals, including two Toronto-area residents, and seized a number of drugs following the search of a southside home.

Police report that a search warrant was obtained for a residential address in the 100 block of Marks Street South following an ongoing investigation by members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit, the OPP, and the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service into drug trafficking activity.

Police officers attended the residence to execute the search warrant at about 4:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. When police entered the home they immediately located multiple suspects along with a quantity of suspected crack cocaine.

As a result of their search, police located a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, pills suspected to be oxycodone, a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine, more than $16,000 in cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

As a result, these four individuals were arrested and charged:

Guled YUSUF, 27, of Mississauga, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
• Obstruct Peace Officer

Ezrah Wildred BUENAFLOR, 21, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance

Anthony Joshua DAVIDSON, 34, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance

Sarah Margaret Lynn DECORTE, 38, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance

Laura Lee Cordoni, 39, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine

All five appeared in bail court Thursday, January 30, 2020, and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates. None of the charges have been proven in court.
