Thunder Bay Police officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were originally dispatched to Barb’s Laundromat at 213 Algoma Street South at about 7:45 om on Monday, January 6 2020, following reports of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The accused had fled the area prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He reportedly left the business on foot in an unknown direction.

Police learned a male had entered the business brandishing a knife and making demands for money.
