Vandalism at Nor’wester View Public School Taking a Toll

THUNDER BAY – Lakehead Public Schools is requesting assistance from the public with regard to a number of after-hours vandalism related issues at Nor’wester View Public School. The growing number of incidents at the school create safety hazards for students and staff and add significant costs to the overall maintenance and custodial budgets.

“It is an extremely frustrating experience for the staff at Nor’wester View Public School who take great pride in ensuring that the school is safe and clean for all students and staff,” says Jim Desaulniers, Manager of Property Services at Lakehead Public Schools. “Additionally, it is an added expense for our staff to deal with each and every vandalism related occurrence.”

Thunder Bay Police have been contacted and private security company patrols have been increased.
