Joint Forces Officers Execute Drug Warrant on Pearl Street Address

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police, the OPP, and Nishnawbe Aski Police executed a search warrant on a Pearl Street address at  11:45 pm on October 16, 2019.

A Mississauga man and three Thunder Bay men are facing Drug Trafficking charges following a Joint Forces raid on a residence in the 200 Block of Pearl Street last night.

Joint Forces Officers say that twelve persons were present inside the apartment as officers entered.  All the individuals were detained as the investigation continued.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a small quantity of a substance believed to be crack cocaine, equipment used for drug trafficking and approximately $12,000 in cash.  4 men were charged and the remaining 8 persons were released unconditionally.

The following were charged with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking and Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000.  None of the accused were residents of the Pearl Street address.

22-year-old Tiryell BURGESS of Mississauga, Ontario

26-year-old Chad Coda Walter RITCH of Thunder Bay

47-year-old Raymond Daryll TROTTIER of Thunder Bay

34-year-old Jonah Jeremiah BEDARD of Thunder Bay

BEDARD is also facing 2 counts of Breach of Probation.  All accused appeared in court this morning and have been remanded into custody.  BURGESS, TROTTIER, and DEDARD will appear again in court on October 18, 2019.   RITCH will appear on November 23rd, 2019.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
