Kenora OPP Charge Four with Drug Trafficking Offences

KENORA – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) with the assistance of the Kenora OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), has charged four individuals on Monday, October 14, 2019.

The charges stem from an ongoing investigation conducted by members of the Kenora OPP. The investigation focused on methamphetamine trafficking in and around the Kenora area. The investigation concluded with the arrest of the four individuals.

The individuals were arrested and charged on the south side of Kenora. Police seized 128 grams of Crystal methamphetamine, 18 grams of Cocaine, Canadian Currency and other drug paraphernalia items used in the trafficking of Crystal Methamphetamine. There were also 2 pellet guns and 2 firearms seized in the investigation. The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $39,800.

As a result of the investigation the following people have been charged and held in custody pending a bail hearing: 

Caitlyn BULL, age 18 of Kenora has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Opioid (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-cocaine (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (CC)
  • Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (CC)
  • Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm (CC)

Brittany BUTOWSKI, age 26, of Kenora has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-cocaine (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (CC)
  • Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (CC)
  • Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm (CC)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (CC)

Jonathan HENDRICKSON, age 20 of Kenora has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-cocaine (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code (CC) x 2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (CC)
  • Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (CC)
  • Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm (CC)
  • Obstruct Peace Officer (CC)

Michael PAGE, age 37 of Kenora has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-cocaine (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (CC)
  • Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (CC)
  • Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm (CC)

All accused appeared in bail court on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, to answer to the charges.
