East Victoria Avenue Fire Knocked Down Fast

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was called out at approximately 05:04 on Friday, August 2, 2019, to a structural fire on East Victoria Ave.

The Platoon Chief, Ed Hill reports that the first arriving units encountered smoke and flames issuing from the southwest corner of the garage located behind this address.

The first arriving unit called for a second alarm. For a total of five Pumpers and an aerial ladder responding to the call.

Due to the quick response of Fire Units, the fire was quickly knocked down and was brought under control keeping the damage to the structure to a minimum.  No occupants were present at the time of the fire and no injuries were sustained by any responding personnel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
