Calgary – There are only 50 days until the 2019 Calgary Stampede – but the wait to see what new foods are on the Midway is over. The Calgary Stampede is excited to release a list of 50 new foods you can find at this year’s Stampede!

This year the Midway doesn’t disappoint, with a menu that brings creative and daring twists on Stampede favourites like the rich and savoury Truffle Creamy Lobster Dumplings, magically sweet Butter Beer Ice Cream, deliciously quirky Tokyo Street Dog and a deeply satisfying Beyond Meat™ Pizza! Foodies can also get their hands on tasty new food items like the Italian Taco, Deep-Fried Artichoke Hearts, Bacon Pancake Dippers, as well as daring items like the Octo Lolly!

The Midway has especially amped up the pickles, fire, and doughnuts with items like Pickle Ice Cream and Pickle Cotton Candy, Flamin’ Hot Cheeto™ Corndogs and Flamin’ Hot™ Frog Legs, as well as new twists on mini doughnuts like Cotton Candy and Cereal Sugar mini doughnuts!

In addition to the new foods, you can still get all of your classic favourites like corndogs, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and more which never disappoint!

New this year, ‘Take a Bite Outta Stampede!’, presented by Food Network Canada, will offer guests fun and unique ways to navigate Midway food at the Stampede, including the best new food on the Midway competition, and the return of the daily food awards highlighting the ‘best of’ across a number of categories.
