DRYDEN – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Dryden and Vermilion Bay. The weather service is calling for as much as 15cm of snow by the time a Colorado Low works its way through the area by Thursday night.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay

10 to locally 15 cm of snow possible tonight through Thursday night.

Snow is forecast to begin near midnight tonight. The snow may initially mix with rain as temperatures will be near zero degrees. However, temperatures will slowly fall during the day Thursday and Thursday night, ensuring a transition to only snow. Around 10 cm of snow can be expected by the time the snow comes to an end Thursday night. Local amounts near 15 cm will also be possible through this period and thus a Snowfall Warning may be needed for some areas at a later time.
