Snowfall Warning in Effect for Dryden / Kenora

DRYDEN – WEATHER – Environment Canada has upgraded the weather advisory for the Dryden and Kenora regions of Northwestern Ontario.

The snowfall warning was issued just after 10 PM EST on Friday night.

The weather service says that snowfall of 15 to 20 cm is expected late Saturday and Saturday night.

Snow will spread into Northwestern Ontario near midday Saturday and taper off by Sunday morning. This snow is associated with a Colorado Low that will track across the Great Lakes on Sunday.

Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay
  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
