OPP Seek Suspect in Long Lake #58 Child Stalking Investigation

OPP REQUEST PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE AND SUBJECT

LONG LAKE #58 FIRST NATION, ON – On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at approx. 10:05 pm, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – Greenstone Detachment – received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle driven by a male who approached a child walking near the Long Lake # 58 General Store on Long Lake #58 First Nation.

This unknown male driving a dark coloured pick-up truck slowed down on Wolf Street near the intersection of Otter Road and engaged in a conversation with the child. The child ran away and reported the incident to an adult, who contacted police.

With the assistance of the North West Region Crime Unit and the OPP Digital Forensics Unit, video surveillance has been obtained of the vehicle. Assistance is being sought from the public in helping to identify the male driver, and/or the vehicle with the following description:

The male is described as:

• Male approximately 50-60 years old

• Caucasian

• Medium build

• Wearing dark pants and a blue sweatshirt

The vehicle is described as:

• Dark coloured Ford F350 dually or similar vehicle

• Running boards and chrome rails on the truck bed

• Orange lights above the front windshield
