Northwestern Ontario School Buses Cancelled Due to Cold

School Buses have to keep safety and weather conditions in mind

KENORA – Due to the extreme cold, school bus transportation has been cancelled for the day for the following areas:

  • Kenora/Sioux Narrows
  • Dryden/Vermilion Bay
  • Red Lake/Ear Falls
  • Sioux Lookout
  • Pickle Lake
  • Upsala (Highway Bus to Ignace)

The school bus transportation will shut down the bussing system when the actual temperature is -38 C, although Environment Canada is not reporting this, we have taken temperatures across the Region and it is or will be -38 by run times.

Schools remain open.
