Male Assaulted by Two Assailants on Simpson Street

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police Service Patrol officers responded to a 911 call at Simpson Street and Pacific Avenue just after 12:00 am this morning regarding an injured male.

A thirty-year-old victim had allegedly been assaulted while walking in the area.

TBPS report the victim was able to flee. He received assistance from a passing motorist in calling 911. EMS and police were on scene within minutes.

A check of the area by responding officers resulted in the arrest of two men in connection with the assault. The victim was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for treatment of his injuries.

19-year-old Harley Austin LOON and 26-year-old Travis Jacob LOON have both been charged with Aggravated Assault. The two accused have been remanded into custody and will next appear in court tomorrow.
