Dryden – Driver Attempts to Flee Police During Traffic Stop

DRYDEN – NEWS – On January 10, 2019, at approximately 1:10 pm, Dryden Police Officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Mary Avenue for a Highway Traffic Act related offence.

As the vehicle pulled over, Dryden Police report that the male driver jumped out of the vehicle and began to run from them. At one point during the foot chase, the accused ran into a residence where the owner let police in but the accused fled again.

A few minutes later, police arrested the accused near First Street.

Keith Andrew ABRAHAM – age 35 of Dryden, ON was arrested and charged with Driving while Prohibited, Flight from Police, Failing to Comply with a Recognizance and numerous offences under the Highway Traffic Act.

ABRAHAM is currently in custody awaiting a bailing hearing today in Sioux Lookout, ON. There we no injuries reported during the incident.
