Two GTA Males Arrested in Drug Bust on Waverly Street

THUNDER BAY – On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, the Thunder Bay Police Service Intelligence Section in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and the Anishinabek Police Service executed a warrant on the 400 block of Waverly Street.

As a result, two males from the Greater Toronto Area were arrested. Both of whom Police stated in a media release are members of a street gang.

Seized was a large amount of what is suspected to be cocaine and Fentanyl. The approximate street value of the drugs seized is $104,000. In addition, police also seized approximately $53,000 in Canadian currency.

Arrested and charged were Emmanuel Kuffour, 28 and Randy Owusu, 28 both of Toronto Ontario. They are charged with:

– Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking X 3
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

Owusu is also charged with Possession of False Identification as well as Impersonation.

Both have been remanded into custody with a future court date. None of the charges have been proven in court.
