GREENSTONE – On the 25th of November, 2018 members of the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 11. Members attended the scene and located a 4 door sedan in the northbound ditch with four occupants.

The investigation revealed one of the passengers was in possession of an illegal substance. Police seized 661 Oxycodone pills with a subsequent street value of $6615.

Wally Williams, 48 years old of Longlac, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:

  1. Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – (Opioid) contrary to section (5)2 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Williams was held in custody and scheduled for a bail hearing. Greenstone OPP with the assistance of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) is investigating the incident further.
