EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a homicide. The homicide section are investigating suspicious death in southwest Edmonton:

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is investigating the suspicious death of an adult male, following an incident outside of a community league hall in southwest Edmonton.

Edmonton Police report that “Southwest Division patrol officers responded to an address in the area of 40Avenue and 117 Street at approximately 3:30 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, after receiving a weapons complaint call from a caller in the neighbourhood of Royal Gardens. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 37-year-old male had been taken to hospital by friends, where he later succumbed to his injuries.”

The Edmonton Medical Examiner has scheduled an autopsy for Tuesday morning.
