Kenora Man Faces Drug Charges

The OPP along with all Ontarian with common sense are asking that people keep a watchful eye to keep impaired driver off our roads.

KENORA – On October 18, 2018, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), the Kenora OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the OPP Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau (POIB) arrested and charged a male for offences relating to drug trafficking.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, the OPP arrested and charged 49-year-old Steve TETREAULT of Kenora for the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine contrary to section 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Other Drug contrary to section 5(2)(Two Counts)

The accused was also charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is to appear in Kenora Criminal Court on November 8, 2018, to answer to the charges.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
