WEATHER – Rainfall Alert for City of Thunder Bay

Weather AlertTHUNDER  BAY – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the City of Thunder Bay. Much of the southern regions of Northwestern Ontario are currently under weather alerts. There is a warning for the areas west of the city for a coming winter storm.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay

Environment Canada says, “Rainfall approaching 50 mm is possible overnight Tuesday to Wednesday night.”

A moisture-laden low-pressure system from the southern states is forecast to track northeastward over Lake Superior by Wednesday night.

Periods of rain will continue tonight and through the day Tuesday. Rain may become heavy at times overnight Tuesday through Wednesday night with total rainfall amounts approaching to 50 mm possible.
