Collision Closes Highway 17A Between Hwy 658 and 596

The OPP along with all Ontarian with common sense are asking that people keep a watchful eye to keep impaired driver off our roads.

KENORA  – The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17A. At approximately 12:00 p.m, police received a complaint of a collision involving a Tractor Trailer Unit and a sedan. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police, The Kenora Fire Department, and Kenora Emergency Services are currently at the scene.

The highway is closed from the junction of Highway 658 and Highway 17A to Highway 596 at this time.

The investigation is still continuing.
