OPP Seek Public Assistance in Solving Neebing Robberies

THUNDER BAY – On September 18, 2018, at approximately 8:29 pm, an officer from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft that occurred at a residence on Highway 595 in the Municipality of Neebing.

Police report that “During the daytime hours, between 10:30 am and 8:00 pm unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole a Samsung television, a Toshiba computer, jewellery, and other household items”.

“On September 19, 2018, at approximately 11:29 a.m., an officer responded to a report of the theft at a residence on Belanger Road in the Municipality of Neebing.

“The complainant advised that the residence had been broken into sometime between April 26 and April 28, 2018. At that time, two Poulan chainsaws, a generator and other yard items were stolen. On September 14, 2018, the complainant returned home to find the residence was broken into once again and three pellet rifles had been stolen.

A vehicle for observation has been reported in the area being described as an older model, white, pickup truck.
