Sioux Lookout Traffic Stop Results in Impaired Charges

OPP have laid a number of charges in a stolen vehicle investigation

SIOUX LOOKOUT – On June 20, 2018, at approximately 7:50 am, Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting patrols on First Avenue in a school zone. Police conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle to check the sobriety of the driver. Officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Mandy HEWLETT (36) of Sioux Lookout, Ontario was charged with;

     – Driving with more than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

She was released by way of promise to appear in Sioux Lookout Provincial Court on July 24, 2018.
