Northwest Region – Time of Report 16:43

THUNDER BAY – The Northwest region logged a single fire incident by the afternoon of June 4.

Fort Frances Fire 11 resulted from a downed tree on a power line near Hwy. 71 north of Little Pine Lake. The 0.1 hectare fire has been declared out.
There are two active fires remaining in the Red Lake District – Red 30 is under control while Red 4 remains under observation.

The forest fire hazard is currently low throughout the Northwest Region. To date in the 2018 fire season, Ontario has seen 204 fires burning a total of 4,294 hectares.
