THUNDER BAY – DAYSTARTER – Good Morning Northwestern Ontario. Today is a Friday to think hockey. Dryden is alive with hockey as the Lil Bands tournament is well underway. Tonight in Thunder Bay the Thunderwolves are set to hit the ice in their last homestand before the playoffs.

THUNDER BAY – REAL ESTATE – The trend in housing starts was 224,865 units in January 2018, compared to 226,346 units in December 2017, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). This trend measure is a six-month moving average of the monthly seasonally adjusted annual rates (SAAR) of housing starts. However in January in Thunder Bay housing starts fell by 12%. Read more!

On February 11th the Wolves will be down at the Skate Pad at Marina Park

Lakehead Thunderwolves will be at Marina Park skating on the ice pad, in part of Winter Fundays. Sunday, February 11th @ 2-4pm. Bring out the kids to meet the team before they head into the playoffs! The Tim Hortons Coffee Truck will be handing out FREE coffee and hot chocolate to everyone who comes to the Marina Park. See you there and Go Wolves Go!

Fuel prices across the region range from $1.149  at the Co-op and the Safeway in Dryden, $1.244 at the Husky on Chipman Street in Kenora,  In Thunder Bay, the lowest price in the city is $1.219 at the Real Canadian Superstore on Memorial.
