Lakehead Thunderwolves Men bounce back against Wilfred Laurier this weekend.

Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Lakehead women’s basketball team beat Broward College of the NJCAA DIV 1 Southern Conference today 71-60 in an exhibition game in Florida.
The Thunderwolves led 38-33 at halftime and carried their momentum until the final buzzer.
Leashja Grant led all players with 31 points and 14 rebounds alongside her teammate Bridget O’Reilly who put up 12 points, going 4-6 from beyond the arc. Lily Gruber-Schulz scored all 7 of her points in the 3rd quarter.
“This was a great tune-up for us as we return from our Christmas break and get ready for league play. There was rust and lulls but overall I was happy with our first game back. We get a chance to play back-to-back games Vs the same team tomorrow, which we will do all second semester.” – Coach Jon Kreiner
Lakehead will rematch Broward tomorrow at 1:00 pm EST in their last exhibition game of 2017 before the OUA season starts up again in January.
