Arson Impacts Vehicles on Machar Avenue

THUNDER BAY – On December 6, 2017, at 3:45 a.m. TBPS patrol officers attended at Machar Avenue residence regarding a possible arson of two vehicles at the request of Thunder Bay Fire Rescue who was on the scene.

At 3:15 a.m. 911 calls were received from individuals who live in the multi-dwelling building in the 100 block of Machar Avenue to report vehicles engulfed in flames. The investigating officer learned that a trailer at the same address had been on fire the previous night and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue had attended to distinguish the flames.

The truck and van involved in this incident suffered extensive damage and have been towed by Thunder Bay Police for further investigation.
