THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Thunder Bay AAA major and minor midget Kings have announced their respective North American Prospects Hockey League schedules for the 2017-18 season.
Both the major (Under-18) and minor (Under-16) sides will play in 21 regular season contests with hopes of qualifying for the NAPHL championship tournament, which runs Feb. 17-20, 2018 in Troy, Mich.
League play for each of the Kings clubs begins next weekend at the Schwan Super Rinks in Blaine, Minn., with each team playing four times from Sept. 21-24.
Meanwhile the major midgets will be off to Winnipeg this weekend for a three-game set against the Rink Academy Nationals, a prep school program based out of the Manitoba capital.
They will open up play Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET and will do likewise Saturday with the same start time.
The series will then conclude Sunday at 11 a.m. with all three contests being held at the Southdale Community Centre in Winnipeg.
