Aboriginal: Words Can Be Covert Weapons

WHITEHORSE YT – The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls community hearings will take place on May 30th, May 31st and June 1st at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre in Whitehorse starting at 9:00am PDT and is scheduled to end at 5:00 PDT each day. Ceremony will take place on May 29th at sunrise and at the end of the community hearings on Thursday June 1st. No photos or recording will be permitted out of respect for local protocols.

Chief Commissioner Marion Buller, Commissioner Michele Audette, Commissioner Marilyn Poitras, Commissioner Brian Eyolfson, and Commissioner Qajaq Robinson will be present.

The community hearings are open to the public to observe unless specified as private by some of the families and/or survivors. The public may watch the community hearings on our Facebook page and website.
