Police Make Arrest in Little Mermaid Break and Enters

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police patrol officers have made an arrest in the break and enter robberies of the Little Mermaid shop on East Victoria Avenue.

In a statement issued Friday, March 17th, Police say that “Officers observed one of the suspects while they were on routine patrol in the downtown South Core at 9:30PM EDT on March 15, 2017. Officers approached the male on the corner of May Street and George Street and placed him under arrest. He was escorted to the police station where he was held and appeared in court yesterday morning”.

Francis Valle, a twenty-seven-year-old now faces charges including two counts of Break & Enter as well as Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000. Valle was remanded to the District Jail.

Police are still looking to locate the young person who has been identified as the second suspect in these incidents. Investigation continues.
