James Street Accident Leaves Driver with Injuries and Facing Charges

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Wintery conditions make it all the more important to drive carefully.

Thunder Bay Police report that on Monday, November 21st at approximately 3:55 pm, a pickup truck was travelling at a high rate of speed going south-bound on James Street South.

The vehicle crossed over into the oncoming north bound lanes and left the roadway. The vehicle collided with a post and a snow bank which caused the vehicle to be launched into the air and then landing on the sidewalk.

The vehicle then collided with a parked unoccupied vehicle in residential driveway. The parked vehicle was then forced into the side of the residence and the pickup truck still having momentum collided with another parked vehicle that was also unoccupied.

The driver of the pickup truck was transport to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre by ambulance with serious injuries.

Thunder Bay Police Traffic Unit are currently investigating this collision and charges are pending.
