THOMPSON – WEATHER – Northern Manitoba is under a Snowfall Warning.

For Northern Ontario, there are currently no alerts or warnings in effect.

For Sandy Lake the forecast is calling for rain showers changing to flurries this evening. Local snowfall amount 2 cm. Wind west 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low zero.

Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Shamattawa

Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

A low pressure system tracking across Manitoba is spreading a large area of snow across Northern portions of the province this evening. This system will produce a band of heavy snow with accumulations of 10 to 15 cm along a line from the Thompson region eastwards across the Gillam and Shamattawa regions.

The snow will taper off from west to east through the day today.
