THUNDER BAY – HOCKEY – Lakehead University and the Thunderwolves hockey team have announced that forward Evan Mignault has been added to the roster.

Mignault played for the Nipawin Hawks of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the past three years and had his best season in 2015-16 when he scored 22 goals and 40 assists for 62 points in 53 games.

The 6’2”, 210-pound winger from Red Rock, Ontario likes what he sees at Lakehead. “I think that CIS hockey is a very good brand and I wanted to stay close to home after being out west for my junior career,” he said. “Lakehead is a nice fit for me.”

Wolves’ Head Coach Bill McDonald is pleased that Mignault will be joining the wolfpack.   “Evan has good vision with the puck can play both wings,” McDonald said. “He’s a gritty player and adds some size to our line-up.”
