Woman Receives Serious Injuries in Domestic Assault

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police were called to the 500 block of Dalhousie Drive just after 7:00PM EDT on Sunday May 29, 2016.

Police report that they had received several 911 calls reporting that a female could be heard in the vicinity calling out for help.

Upon arrival, at the scene, Polixw Officers located a nineteen-year-old female with serious injuries. A twenty-year-old male was also located in proximity to the victim. The man was taken into custody and has been charged with Aggravated Assault.

The male suspect has been remanded in custody. The female was transported to hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.

Thunder Bay Police say that the victim and accused were in a domestic relationship. As a result, the male cannot be identified to protect the identity of the victim.
