THUNDER BAY – UPDATED –  Thunder Bay Police were called to the Macs Convenience Store located at 1200 Brown Street for a report of a robbery that had occurred just before 1:30PM EDT on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, TBPS report, “A twenty-two-year old male is in custody with the assistance of the media. He is charged with Robbery with a Firearm. The circulation of the robbery footage generated a lot of good tips”.

“The Thunder Bay Police would like to thank the media outlets for their assistance. Thanks also to our social media friends!”

Police state that, “The suspect entered the store, approached the 25 year old store clerk and demanded money while pointing a gun at him. The clerk complied and the suspect then ran out of the store towards Frederica Street. The clerk and two other people who were in the store were not injured.”

The suspect is a Caucasian male around 25 years of age. He is described as being 6’0″ tall with a thin build. He has light brown short hair, a goatee and has a mole on his right cheek. He was wearing a bright blue Under Armour zipper up hooded jacket with grey lining in the hood, a “camo” baseball hat and jeans.
