Find my Phone Helps Police Make Arrest

THUNDER BAY – Using “Find My Phone” on an iPhone, Thunder Bay Police were able to make fast work of a case of break and enter.

TBPS state, “Great police work, aided by technology, lead to the arrest of a twenty-six-year old man for a Break and Enter into a north side home”.

Officers were dispatched to a 911 call regarding a break in to a home in the 700 block of Huron Avenue just before noon on Wednesday April 13, 2016. The resident was startled to discover a male in her home. The man fled and police were called.

TBPS report, “During the break in, an iPhone was taken. Officers were able to locate the stolen iPhone thanks to the “Find My iPhone” app. A male was located in a parked car on May Street near George Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. the same day. He was arrested without incident”.

Liam Michael GERMAN-CARON is charged with Break and Enter and Breach of Probation. He remains in custody with a future court date.
