THUNDER BAY – Justin Trudeau will be the next Prime Minister of Canada. The Liberal leader is leading his party to a growing lead across the country.

In Thunder Bay, the Liberals, Patti Hajdu and Don Rusnak are off to early leads in the city. In Kenora, Bob Nault is leading in early results.

The Liberals are near majority numbers at 10:20PM with 172 seats leading or elected. The Conservatives have 94 seats.

The New Democrats have 24 seats where they are elected or leading.

The New Democrats have lost the Quebec base that they held. The gains went to the Liberals and the Bloc.

The Liberal gains started in the Atlantic provinces, with 33 seats.
